After Hurrican Matthew

-Yuck!

Guess what? The hurricane shutters are finally off, the streets are looking squeaky clean, and things are slowly getting back to normal after Hurricane Matthew swung by.

But here’s the kicker - the ocean? Oh boy, it’s telling a different tale. With the exception of one day, it’s a bit of a hot mess:

• the water’s all murky
• rocking a weird greenish-gray vibe
• and the waves? Well, they’re all rough, confused, and totally jumbled The beach? It’s giving off serious “midst of a big winter storm” vibes.

Now, as much as I’d love to throw on my snorkeling gear and dive in, I think I’ll hold off until things are a tad more inviting. Judging by the looks of it, that might take a while.

It’s just mind-blowing how much energy a hurricane unleashes into the world. And you know what’s wild? All that energy keeps sloshing around in the ocean long after the hurricane bids us farewell.
