Hang on Pardner It's Gonna Buck

Hey there! Guess what’s coming our way?
Today’s Hazardous Weather Outlook has the scoop. Brace yourself for a freeze tonight, a bit of hot and windy weather, and a sprinkle of snow on Sunday and Labor Day:
🌧️ HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RIVERTON WY 500 AM MDT THU SEP 2, 2010…-CASPER MOUNTAIN-…NATRONA COUNTY LOWER ELEVATIONS-…
This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for western and central Wyoming.
Day One…Today and Tonight Some spots tonight, especially in low-lying areas across Sweetwater, Natrona, and Fremont Counties, might experience their first freeze of the season.
Days Two Through Seven…Friday Through Wednesday A mix of warm temperatures, very low humidity, and gusty winds could lead to critical fire weather conditions.
Saturday and Sunday: A storm system will roll in on Sunday and Labor Day, bringing a chance of minor snow accumulation in the mountains Sunday night and Monday, including Yellowstone National Park.
It feels like just yesterday I was talking about the last snow warning on June 11th, almost three months ago.
The alfalfa is in full bloom around my beeyard—acres of it too short to cut. It’s starting to give some nectar for my bees, and any frost now could halt that flow. If there’s a hard freeze, it could be a tough call for my bees and a tough decision for me—whether to buy a ton of sugar to help them through winter or start fresh next year.
This has been my most challenging beekeeping year ever. Thinking about keeping bees in Wyoming? That’s the question I’m wrestling with.
Sending you warmth and whimsy, D 🌴🌊
