Mob Grazing

Mob Grazing

Hey there! Around three years ago, I shared Allan Savory’s Ted talk on Sustainable Grazing.

It was quite revolutionary back then, but you know what? It’s not so groundbreaking anymore.

Allan Savory’s ideas paved the way for something called mob grazing. Now, this marvelous approach is gaining momentum, supported by agricultural researchers, extension agencies, and state governments. It’s more than just a trendy concept; it’s actually proven to enhance production, promote cattle well-being, and work wonders for the land—it’s like a win-win-win situation!

Those who’ve given it a try absolutely adore it. It’s somewhat akin to the transition beekeepers made a few years ago when they shifted from conventional methods to natural beekeeping. It turns out, mob grazing and natural beekeeping share the same ethos: learn from nature’s wisdom and apply it to management.

And the cherry on top? Everyone reaps the rewards — the environment, the livestock, the beekeeper/herdsman, and, of course, us, the consumers.

Cheers, D 🌴🌊
