Painted Buntings Are Back

-They’ve returned.

Oh, have you seen these magnificent birds? The male is absolutely dazzling, and even the female, though more subtle, has her own allure.

They choose to spend their winters here in Florida, which means winter is upon us. But with everything still blooming, tomato transplants flourishing, and okra sprouting, it’s a tad challenging for this old Wyoming popsicle to keep track. Perhaps I’m just easily bewildered in this heat? 🙂
